August is Ours is an Alt/Indie/Folk band based out of Greenville, North Carolina (Pirate Nation). The band was formed by front man  JT Ackerman February 25th of 2015. Since then August is ours has toured 3 times (including a European tour), been recognized by MTV, opened for multiple Top 40 Billboard artists and much more. August Is Ours plans to tour multiple times in 2017 including west coast and over seas!
