Co-Bill with The North & South Dakotas/Marc Delgado and Wounded Knee

April 21 @ 8:00 pm

Created in the winter of 2011 by founding members Zack Hay, Mark Retajczyk and Colin Hunt, The North & South Dakotas set out crafting a sound that paid homage to the spirit of old time american music, mountain folk and singer-songwriter traditions. With the addition of drummer Mike Graves and utility-man Nayt Patenaude, the band continued honing in on a sound containing elements of bluegrass, country, folk, honky-tonk, and rock and roll. The mixture of each members’ different musical background has culminated in a unique, harmony-rich, genre sweeping sound, determined to break up the monotony of the modern airwaves.

_DSC0752Marc Delgado & Wounded Knee
are an Alt-Rock/Americana quartet
that play guitar-driven, wordy rocknroll.
Their last record: “High in a Neon Dive”
is a spiraling tour through the seedy motels
& dive bars of Central California
where Delgado was born & raised.
“…Singer/Songwriter Marc Delgado sets his rich voice
& evocative songs to a  noisy noir rock, at times grinding madly
like Crazy Horse, at other times achieving a school-of-Wilco
ambient & harmonically expanded roots rock…Delgado’s  songs…
are darkly mythic: spacious, fractured American Landscapes
& surreal character studies with numerous falls from grace
& slanted redemptions.” -John Burdick (Woodstock Times)
