pon·der; verb; think about (something) carefully, especially before making a decision or reaching a conclusion. Groove-oriented rock quartet from Buffalo, NY specializing in funky jam solutions and soulful songwriting since 2016.
Ponder has made a name for themselves playing venues and festivals around western New York and its surrounding areas, as well as sharing the stage with such touring bands as New Politics, LITZ, Jimkata, After Funk, The Werks, BIG Something, and Kung Fu.
In 2017 ponder added featured musician Andy Fisher (trumpet), with full time members Sam Shafer (guitar/vocals), Marcus Peters (drums), Andy Hogan (bass/vocals) and Gabe Birkby (vocals/guitar).
With plans to release new music, as well as some other surprises, 2018 has been a formative and exciting year for the group. The band is currently working in their DIY studio to garner material for upcoming spring tours.
Hilltop is a 5 piece band from the Capital Region that blends rock with funk, jazz, blues, bluegrass and much more. The band combines original music, diverse covers and improvisation to create a unique listening experience. Hilltop is celebrating one year of performing together as they gear up to release their debut album, and celebrate that milestone with Glass Pony at the Parish Public House.
